Horticulture Growers Short Course

Location: Abbotsford

The Horticulture Growers Short Course is an incredible educational opportunity that takes place at the same time and location as the Pacific Agriculture Show. It is three-days of over 70 concurrent educational sessions on topics related to horticulture including berries, tree fruits, cherries, potatoes, nuts, pest management, economics and more! Building Soil Health

SOIL Club - conversation
January 14, 2020

Date: Tuesday, January 14

Time & location: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, Hawthorn Creek Farm, 1911 Irving Road, Tarrys (Bill Chapman's Farm). 8 KM West of the Slocan Junction.

This is an informal gathering of commercial producers to chat about soil health and soil management. The club is facilitated by KFBA and co-hosted by Dr. Bill Chapman, soil scientist and local farmer. 

Purpose of the soil club includes:

  • Discuss key 'issues' that producers are having 

  • Interests and questions about agricultural soils

  • Soil testing

  • Collaboratively discuss management strategies

  • Identify areas where KBFA can support with further information and resources
